A day in Ikebukuro

This is what you people would be doing if you live near Animate.

We were damn early when we reached Ikebukuro at 9am and all the shops opened at 10am.
So we took a walk around and guess what we found.

Yes it’s a High School for Girls

Dun ask me why there is a school for girls right in the middle of Ikebukuro. Makes me wonders what the girls do after school D:

The pigeons in Japan seems to like human company.
We found a park nearby Animate where we saw a flock of pigeons. They don’t even fly away when we approach unlike in Singapore.
We were one of the first few to enter Animate today. There were plenty of interesting stuff that you won’t even find in your local anime stores. Sadly, as no pictures are allowed, I can’t show anything here. But, I managed to get myself a whole set of Lilia and Trieze novels.

As you can see, I have increased my Shugo Chara collection.

Another one for my small Nana Collection.

The first single by the new unit formed who sang the OP for the 2nd season of Shugo Chara.

Capsule machines are evil as usual.

Its a Kira☆Kira card I found in Lashinbang which is next to Animate. (Don’t ask me why they chose to called those foil cards that way)

Later in the afternoon, I met up with my friend who is an exchange student in Japan. Having being in Japan for some months already, she brought us to the cheapest karaoke store she knows. Unfortunately, most probably due to the Christmas season, they have increased their rates.
Their original rates was for 40 yen for 30 min and they increased it to 140yen.
Anyway, we went ahead and sang for 2 hrs.

Apparently, quite a number of songs have retained their original anime song animations and much more for its a full song in the karaoke instead of the TV size.
