Nana appearing in Music Japan.
Julius_Firefocht | March 9, 2009Rather pre-mature, that title. According to this link, Nana is scheduled to appear on Music Japan alongside famous names like Abingdon Boys School and Perfume. It’s a NHK event so it could be that finally, Nana may get the chance to appear on Kohaku, that yearly music show on New Year’s Eve.
My response? About time!
Correct me if I am wrong, but if it happens, it makes Nana the first seiyuu-singer to ever appear on Kohaku. Pulling off this stunt will also mean that the mainstream market is finally starting to take notice of her too. Looks like all those high Oricon positions are not for show after all.

Edit: Sorry to dash your hopes, but we have received more information through Bonkurasu and Danie. The event in question is confirmed to be Music Japan, and it showcases currently popular artistes and Oricon chart toppers. That explains why Nana, Perfume and Abingdon Boys School are in the line-up. The earlier portion of this article was pure speculation that ended up on the wrong side of the moon, and we apologise for giving readers a wrong impression of Nana actually appearing in Kohaku.
So no Nana in Kohaku for us. But having Nana in Music Japan can’t be a bad thing too, right? Though I still want to see Nana in Kohaku.
Our thanks to Bonkurasu and Danie for clearing things up.
This is Julius Firefocht, signing off. Again.
