A few more hours to Shin Mazinger, and other stuff.

Julius_Firefocht | April 4, 2009

I don’t think Mazinger Z is that tall, but what the heck…

Well, actually more like roughly 20 hours to Shin Mazinger, at least on our timing, but you know how anticipation warps your sense of time. Doki doki waku waku.

I might do a post on how the 1st episode goes, depending on my schedule. And of course, Shin Mazinger is not the only series I am watching this season. K-On sounds good from what we have heard, while Queen’s Blade was a major letdown that is practically depending on boobs and seiyuu power as its selling point. Asura Crying seems to have potential too, and I will definitely give it a try since it is produced by 7 Arcs. There are others, but their names escape me for now.

Also, I realize I have not posted up my Toradora series review, despite what I had said earlier. It is not that I am too lazy to post, on the contrary I actually have the draft of the series review ready. I just felt that whatever I can say will not be able to accurately convey my feelings for Taiga, Ryuuji and gang. The feeling is the same as watching several good friends leave forever and never return, though you know they are happy and well. How do you describe such emotions? I was able to at least muster some words for Clannad AS and call it a day. But for Toradora… I know I will never be satisfied with whatever I write for it.

Let’s not talk about White Album. I rather watch the 2nd half of the show before making any comments. But speaking of White Album…

Sadly, this season does not have much of Nana. I will be falling back on my stash of older Nana anime to get me by. I can’t believe I am saying this, but I might be watching Ragnarok the Animation if my stash runs out. I have been saving series like Itazura na Kiss and Allison to Lilia just for this kind of situation, and I still do not want to watch Ragnarok for my Nana fix. Or perhaps rewatching Nanoha and Nanoha A’s DVD version would be a better idea. The Nanoha series does go well together with Shin Mazinger, at least in my opinion.

What do you think?

This is Julius Firefocht, signing off.
