~~~~~
Making the judgement of our demise
The armies of the sinister darkness advance
The vacuum is engulfed in red flames, Burning Red, BURNING
A single bolt of lightning illuminates the sky
The guardian of steel soars high
GOD’S ON THE GROUND The miracle made manifest
The darkness engulfs this world
Continuing to wait for that “Power”
If you truly feel like a KNIGHT
You should be able to ROCK ME
You are but the strongest KNIGHT
You should be able to ROCK ME
There is no way to escape from fate
Shake off your sadness, and push on!
This boiling anger burns red, howling red SAVER!
It attacks, tearing up the coming dark clouds
The crushing, single blow of fortune made manifest
NOW BREAK THE WALL and liberate the future
Man only wishes for everyone’s love
Continuing to chase that “Light”
If you truly feel like a KNIGHT
You should be able to ROCK ME
You are but the strongest KNIGHT
You should be able to ROCK ME
If you truly feel like a KNIGHT
You should be able to ROCK ME
You are but the strongest KNIGHT
You should be able to ROCK ME
Guardian of Steel indeed. I like how the lyrics pay homage to the original Mazinger Z opening song, the one sung by Aniki back in 1972. That is only right and proper, considering Mazinger Z has always been referred to as the “Castle of Black Iron”.
GAR stuff, yes? It is a good change from all the angst-filled Gundam songs that have been plaguing the anison market of late. We need more of this before people start thinking that modern mecha series consist of nothing but emo and angst.
And yes, there really is no way to escape from Fate.
This is Julius Firefocht, signing off.
