When I first heard that Nana would be in KnK 6, I was practically delirious at the prospect of having Maaya Sakamoto and Nana in the same show together. Well, the show turned out to have practically no Nana-Maaya interaction, but Nana’s performance as Ouji Misaya more than made up for it. Ouji is probably what Fate would have grown up to be had she not met Nanoha.

The magazine that published this atrocity… this blasphemy… must burn. That is the only way they can possibly redeem themselves. To mistake our Nana-chan for deko… that is just pure heresy.

Finally…

No kidding, man. The Nanoha franchise takes its first step into the world of console gaming, with a release for the PSP! Now we can have hot Fate on Nanoha action on the move! 

Interesting note… this game is made by Namco, which is now merged with Bandai to form Bandai-Namco. So the Nanoha franchise is now backed by the largest toy and games company in Japan. Not bad at all.

Not really related to Nanoha, but I am still getting that Rina figure.

Now that news about Wonderfest 2009 has more or less settled down, its time for the inevitable post on my picks of the Nanoha merchandise displayed during the event. The Alter Shin Sonic Form Fate and Full Power Nanoha are foregone conclusions, so I will not be talking about those in this post.

On a separate note, that figure of Ogata Rina from White Album is probably the closest thing to a Nana Mizuki figure that we will ever get. I wonder which company made it, because they sure did a heck of a job.

I am normally resistent to plushies, but I cracked when I saw these. They are simple too cute not to have!

Yui and Tsumugi are in the 1st set, with Mio and Ritsu for the 2nd set. The final set will have Azusa and a character that I can’t recall for now.

Anyway, I already preordered all 3 sets at KKnM, and apparently they would arrive in November. So yeah, I am looking forward to having a whole group of K-On plushies occupying my bed.

First a wolfgirl, now a catgirl.

The cast for the Omamori Himari anime has finally been announced! About time too, I was wondering whatever happened to the anime since there was no news about it for quite a while.

Here is the cast list, names of seiyuus in bold:

Daisuke Hirakawa (Makoto from School Days. Oh shit.) – Amakawa Yuuto

Kei Shindou (Wang Liu Mei in Gundam 00, Kuro Kagami in Kodomo no Jikan) – Shizuku

I can totally understand how Amisuke got the role, all she needed to do was a sexier and more alluring version of her Horo voice. I consider Horo one of my favourite Amisuke characters, and I look forward to her performance in OM.

But Daisuke Hirakawa? The Legendary Makoto from School Days?

I dunno. The man impressed me in Itazura na Kiss, using a deeper version of his voice that reminded me of Koyasu Takehito at times. But I will be damned if I am going to sit through 13 episodes of his whiny Makoto voice. Let us hope that is not the case.

Out of the remaining 3 seiyuus, Kei Shindou is perhaps the more outstanding one. I have totally no idea how they are going to pull off their respective roles, but I still have hope. It can’t be that bad, can it?

To think I was hoping for Ayako Kawasumi, Satoshi Hino, Yuko Gotou, Haruka Tomatsu and Yukari Tamura for the starting 5 characters. Feel free to guess who fits into which character, though the answers should be obvious.

And the Seiup post gets delayed thanks to this breaking news. Oh well.

My 24th birthday is approaching in a few short minutes.

I realize it should not be something to write about, at least not on this blog since my birthday is hardly anything of significance. When compared to the large events such as AFA and Daicon that NKDS has covered, the date of birth of a single individual hardly merits any attention from the masses, does it?

Well, except that my birthday happened to coincide with the end of a rather difficult and stressful period of time for me. Since I am feeling happy and free right now, I thought it would be a good idea to pen my thoughts and pay tribute to the people who assisted me along the way. And no, I do not plan to write a post for every birthday I go through. This year just happens to be… somewhat special.

Before I continue, I must say that this is going to be a personal post, with none of the information that readers are used to receiving from the site. Please feel free to read on if you are fine with that. Otherwise… well, I suppose there are other stuff in NKDS that can keep you happy for the next five minutes or so. After all, this site must have accumulated enough content for a good read if you simply wish to pass the time.
