K-On girls jam session in real life.
Julius_Firefocht | August 5, 2009“Don’t say lazy” live version?
The K-On seiyuus seem to be practicing or rehearsing for a performance of some sort. I wonder if there’s any event coming up that might feature them? I can’t think of any at the moment.
Good luck to the seiyuus if they want to master their instruments in such a short time. I really hope they can succeed, but learning a musical instrument from scratch is not easy.
On a side-note, I seem to be making a lot of short posts recently. This trend will probably continue as my working hours do not give me the luxury of writing long posts.
This is Julius Firefocht, signing off.

Maybe TBS Anime Festa 2009? It's on 22 August.

Azu | August 5, 2009No actually, I think it was a prerequisite for the girls to actually know how to play (though maybe just the basic foundation) to land the K-ON voicing roles, because soon enough they WILL be asked to perform live. You’d notice this if you read down the cast, only Sanada is a veteran seiyuu in the series, nyo.

You have a point, though to be fair the KyoAni does have a history of casting relatively unknown or new seiyuus. Maybe the K-On girls really do have musical experience, but I doubt that was a big factor when KyoAni decided to cast them in their roles.

yq | August 5, 2009I’m pretty sure that it’s from the Keion Live Radio Show event that Youko Hikasa, Minako Kotobuki, Aki Toyosaki and Satomi Satou blogged about on the 19th or 20th of July…

I think they had to learn as they went along, for the radio show. Got to be hard for Youko Hikasa, I doubt she’s actually left-handed.

Hittokiri | August 5, 2009Even if the seiyuus were not cast based on their abilities to play musical instruments, they would had have time to learn. Correct me If I’m not mistaken, but they were cast for the roles almost over a year ago right? That is enough time for them to learn to play.
Regarding theposts length. I think short bite sized posts are great. Perfect for those 5 minute breaks during work.
