The reason the series ended is because the author or the artist, I don't remember which one, recently divorced his wife and Haruna was based off of his wife. He didn't want to keep going on with the manga because it reminded him of her. Also I heard that his wife tried to take the rights of To-Love-Ru because Haruna looks like her which of course she didn't get, but that's still really messed up.
