This the government that is projected to lose hundreds of billions of ringgit in a project and no one has been taken to task regarding it. This the government who had an information minister who could not speak proper english and made a fool of himself when he was interviewed live on al jazeera regarding a protest in kl. This is the government whose recent foreign minister addressed Hillary Clinton as her excellency and claimed to have been offered bribes during the same press conference. I doubt the government feels embarrassed at all. @Kesslar : bn government feeling embarrassed?

I mean, claiming things like batik or laksa or nasi uduk (lemak) is one thing because the culture is widely spread, but claiming dishes like "Hainan" rice and "Bak Kut" teh, where we can see clearly that those are coming from China, is a totally different thing altogether, and it's not helping Malaysia's image on another countries at all. :( well, it’s quite disappointing, because this news came out after all the hard work that has been done to resolve the Malaysia-Indonesia dispute over various culture claims.
