Rosario + Vampire S2: Friend, lover, wife, concubine and toy.

Julius_Firefocht | October 28, 2009

1

This is from Rosario + Vampire S2 Chapter 23. Damn that Tsukune and his harem abilities. And why is Moka only a friend? She should be the wife!

Then of course, there is this page, also from the same chapter:

2

So is Moka’s expression tsun or dere? I have no idea and I don’t care since I love it. I hope that this would someday get animated, and preferably not by Gonzo since Gonzo will probably be bankrupt by then. More Nana is always good!

Nanami Madobe rocks.

Julius_Firefocht | October 26, 2009

NanamiWallpaper1

I just turned my computers into Nana-powered machines, by the simple application of the Nanami Madobe voicepack. Nanami Madobe is probably the best thing ever to happen to my computers. Now we can have all have some moe Nana voices while computing on the move!

Here are some Nanami Madobe wallpapers to celebrate the occasion. Enjoy!

All hail Microsoft for comboing Nana Mizuki with Windows 7. I never thought I would see the day where I would be thanking Microsoft, but hey, credit where credit is due, yes?

Kimi ni Todoke Ep 3: Sweet Sawako is sweet.

Julius_Firefocht | October 24, 2009

1

 Million dollar smile

So, as I mentioned in an earlier post, people are starting to realize just how sweet Sawako actually is. I demand a kimono scene, dammit.

The past few episodes had Sawako building her social life from the ground up, and to this day I am quite surprised at the high amount of emotional energy that I am investing into her. It has been a while since I cheered so hard for a character in any anime. And Kimi ni Todoke is supposed to be one of the “sleepers” of this season. So much for the high profile projects like Railgun and Nogizaka Haruka S2…

2

The enemy appears.

A new character is introduced, voiced by Aya Hirano. It is the enshrined right of every Nana fan to bare their fangs and growl menacingly whenever a character voiced by Deko appears, thanks to Aya’s transparent attempt to ride on Nana’s popularity using White Album. This is doubly so in this case, since I automatically classify as an enemy anything that threatens the growth of Sawako’s budding social life and her relationship to Kazehaya. Being voiced by Aya Hirano only gives me more excuses to pour the irrational hate on her, which is a good thing. :D

Soldier on, Sawako. We are all rooting for you.

WH40K : Painting! Gaming! Space Wolves Oh My!

Hakuro | October 23, 2009

Hey there, the release of the new Space Wolves codex has reignited the flickering flame of fenris in the night, and has replaced it with a bonfire worthy of Space Wolves chapter master Logan Grimnar himself.  And it seems we have to congratulate our resident blogger Bjorn for joining us at the Warhammer 40,000 gaming table and (appropriately) picking up the new Space Wolves, though some might argue that his decision to do so was ‘cheezy’ or ‘haphazard’ we assure you, Bjorn is one of the only gamers capable of rolling a 7 on a D6. Trust me, we never want to play Space Hulk with him anymore.

Applies to all manner of tabletop and roleplaying games, Geeks and GMs sold separately. Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Birthday Sweet Haruka-chan~

Xak | October 20, 2009

Haruka-chan

Mmm yes Haruka looks so delicious <3

Once again it is my dear Haruka-chan’s birthday, 20 Oct! Unlike last year, this year an episode aired on her birthday!! It’s been over a year since the first season of the anime first aired and I fell in love with her, and this year the second season of the anime is airing in the best season ever; one full of Noto!! Not only dear sweet Haruka-chan, but Kuronuma Sawako in Kimi Notodoke is also so cute~ Then there was Toudou Lilicia in ep 3 of Seitokai no Ichizon; awesome tsundere~~; in that ep there was also a parody appearance of Enma Ai, and there was also a wonderful yan-sounding “Oi…” from her~ Ah the love is just overflowing from me now; excuse me while I go and do unspeakable things to my Haruka (dakimakura)!!!

M.O.V.E and Yukari Tamura duet in a new song.

Julius_Firefocht | October 20, 2009

I shit you not. Here’s the Youtube link for the unbelievers:

This is only a small segment of the song, but it is mindblowingly epic. I demand for a performance of this song in Animelo2010!

I first read about the news from Seiyuu3, credit goes to Houkoholic for bringing this up.

Kimi ni Todoke: Those guys got it wrong, Sawako is gorgeous.

Julius_Firefocht | October 18, 2009

Something has been bugging me ever since I first laid eyes upon Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke. Then it finally hit me. Everyone in the class says Sawako looks like a ghost and how it freaks them out etc etc, but they never had the benefit of considering this…

1

Sawako.

seiup_1221831545918

Mamiko Noto, Sawako’s seiyuu

That’s right… Sawako pretty much is the animated version of Noto, which makes Noto the real life version of Sawako. Show me a person who says he freaks out at seeing Mamiko Noto and I will show you a liar. Those guys who freaked out at Sawako are going to regret it when Sawako wears a kimono and unleashes the Yamato Nadeshiko side of her. I can just see that coming.

On a sidenote, Sawako’s endless optimism never ceases to amaze me. If I had to choose between Nogizaka Haruka or Sawako as the better Noto-voiced female lead, I would choose Sawako without batting an eyelid. Haruka is too “perfect” so to speak, while Sawako is a normal girl that is sweet and endearing. I felt more for Sawako in 2 episodes than I did for Haruka in 15 episodes, which is saying something.

So yeah, Kazehaya is no fool and knows a good girl when he sees one, unlike all the other idiots in the school. More power to him, he is one of the rare few none-hotblooded male lead that earned my respect. Everyone else that I classify as a true man have this tendency to scream out their intentions before beating the crap out of their opponents, so this guy is a special case, I guess.

To wrap things up, putting aside the convenient and uncanny resemblance of Sawako and Noto, go watch Kimi ni Todoke if you like shoujo anime or manga. You will not be disappointed.

Welcome to Midori Ya!

Julius_Firefocht | October 11, 2009

1

The Animate omake, picture taken from Animate website. I am aiming for this.

Well, this is assuming Midori Ya is an e-commerce website instead of a cake shop…

You might have heard of Nana-chan’s latest single, Mugen. I’m ordering my copy through this website, its called Midori Ya Online Trading and Services.

Now, why would I order from Midori Ya? Primarily because I get to choose the omake I want, out from the whole list ranging from Gamers and Animate to Tower Records. In my opinion that is much better than ordering from Amazon and getting no omake.  Here’s their webpage that links to every omake available for choosing.

Of course, buying from Midori Ya also gives that warm fuzzy feeling that I might get from buying at that cake shop that Nanoha’s family owns.  I realize that is a purely personal affection, but I am a sucker for all things related to the Nanoha series, so yeah.

Feel free to drop by and try out their services if you are interested. The instructions for ordering from them are all clearly stated on the website, so there should be minimal confusion.

The definitive picture of the series, in so many ways.

Work commitments had prevented me from posting this earlier, but I had always known that this was going to get posted no matter how busy I was. Presenting the review of Shin Mazinger episode 26, and the series overview.
