Got this video off the Twitter of one of the Lantis staff. It was made by fans from Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea for the Maximzer tour and features the song, Only One, from the Seventh Explosion album. Mazinkaiser SKL 3 min PV: WE ARE HELL!

Julius_Firefocht | September 26, 2010

Here it is, the first long PV of Mazinkaiser SKL. The whole thing is 3 minutes long, and its 3 minutes of hardcore Mazinger action. This is also the first time we get to see Mazinkaiser SKL in action properly… and I just came buckets and shat bricks.

This is the most badass Mazinger in history. Look up the word “badass” in the dictionary and you will see a picture of Mazinkaiser SKL as a definition. The Mazinkaiser SKL moves like greased lightning, and it is a truly godless killing machine designed to annihilate and kill without end. Notice at 2:11 that Mazinkaiser SKL cut through two enemy machines AND one of its own allies? And promptly pulped the defenseless enemy pilot under its feet? No Mazinger pilot has ever done that!

When Ken Kaido and Ryo Magami says “ORE TACHI GA, JIGOKU DA!”, they mean it.

Mazinkaiser SKL ep1 will be officially released on 28th January next year, but there will be a pre-release packaged with the Chogokin Mazinkaiser SKL toy. Please look forward to it.

Nana looks so nice in this chapter! And our good friend Kouta is right, Nana’s performance in Kohaku really is history in the making.

More after the jump.

Nanoha Movie BD and DVDs to include special audio track

dodgethis | September 14, 2010

Turns out that this picture is not a figment of someone’s imagination

No, it isn’t sounds of Nana and Yukarin whispering to each other sweet nothings.

‘Feito-chan.’

‘Nanoha-chan.’

‘Feito-chan.’

‘Nanoha-chan.’

‘Feito-chan.’

‘Nanoha-chan.’

Wash, rinse, repeat. But I swear I can listen this audio track all day long.

Turns out, Aniplex and King Records decided to make an audio recording of a screening of the movie. What you get are fanboys (and some fangirls) screaming, talking, and reacting to whatever’s going on the screen.

NANA-SAAAAAAAN!

ORE NO YOME!

YUUNO SHINE!

I cannot imagine anything more awesome than this. When I do my own screening, I am so going to encourage my audience to do the same thing.

Love Hina Chapter 123.1 thoughts.

Julius_Firefocht | September 8, 2010

In order to commemorate the 300th chapter of Mahou Sensei Negima, Ken Akamatsu produced a special one-shot manga story for Love Hina on the 40th issue of Shonen Magazine. The whole thing is only 6 pages long, but it invokes feelings and memories in me that date back to 2000, back when I was still a secondary school noob in anime and manga and seriously thought the Love Hina manga was daring. It’s like meeting old friends whom you missed from time to time, friends that you recalled whenever you watched a harem anime where the protagonist gets the shit beaten out of him.

Seeing Naru, Keitarou and the rest of the gang drawn in Akamatsu-sensei’s fresh style brings forth a wave of nostalgia, tinged by the knowledge that all of us have moved on in life. Things have changed in the past 11 years and we will never be the same again. Just like how Akamatsu-sensei has drawn Narusegawa in his new art style, we who read Love Hina in our youth have moved away from our past selves, and hopefully progressed in life. After all, Naru in year 2011 is different from Naru in year 2000, and she certainly looks better than before, doesn’t she?

Even though newer is better, at least in this case, one can’t help but wonder if it was possible to go back to a simpler life, when being an innocent anime fanboy was more than enough and it was possible to watch an anime without subconsciously determining its marketability and sustainability. It is a thought that is easily crushed by the demands of the day, but at the same time it is important for us to remember who we were and why we enjoy what we enjoy. Naru never lost her twin antennas 10 years after Love Hina ended, and similarly, we should always retain a link to our past to ground us in the present, however faint the link might be at times.

I think I spoke too much. Anyway, here’s the link to the chapter. If you are a Love Hina fan, read it and have fun!

DS Super Robot Wars L 1st Trailer

Julius_Firefocht | September 4, 2010

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming Super Robot Wars L for the DS. It has quite an impressive cast for a DS SRW:

~~~~~
Evangelion Rebuild
Fight! Iczer One
Iczer Reborn
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny
New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
Macross Frontier
Linebarrels of Iron
Combattler V
Dancougar Nova
Voltes V
Gaiking: Legend of Daiku-Maryu
Kotetsushin Jeeg
Mazinkaiser
Mazinkaiser vs Great General of Darkness
Godannar
Godannar Second Season
~~~~~

Rebuild of Evangelion, Macross Frontier and Mazinkaiser in the same game? Hell yeah! The only letdown is the lack of Getter Robo and UC Gundam series, but at least we have Godannar and Kurogane no Linebarrel to console ourselves with.

As a point of interest, this SRW is not produced by Terada. Interpret this as you will… I just want my PS3 SRW to be released ASAP.
