No effing shit. They are going to Animelo. I am lost for words. Thank God I have secured my ticket. And this year’s Nico live stream seems to be a pay-to-view thing.

Just got this mail from the May’n mailing list.

It seems that come August 21st, a single featuring both Okui Masami and May’n will be released (potential Animelo song, perhaps?). Titled Miracle Upper WL (whatever that means), it’s supposed to be the theme song of some show called Ontama. The promo blurb describes this as the ‘combination of two voices from two different generations of artistes’ (liberally translation, sorry).

This should be an interesting song to hear and look out for, after the rumours that the two were supposed to duet Get Along (from Slayers) at Animelo last year.

Unrelated but I just needed a reason to post this.

Stumbled across the radio rip on youtube just now and it’s the full song. Much has been said about the beat and the music for this year’s theme. I find it quite a good change from the previous slower paced themes. AND WHY IS THERE NO PV THIS YEAR.  But whatever, enjoy. Here’s to more great duets this year. Just don’t have mai moe moe waifu and deko together, please.

This year, Makkun, can I have a K-Show and Minami duet? Prefably Rumbling Hearts. He was hilarious during the behind the scene special, especially his wanting in on the bunch of girls yakking in front of him. Ani-Para host Tomoe Ohmi makes a return to Animelo after a two year absence.

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. THE MAN BEHIND THE OP TO ASTRO FIGHTER SUNRED WILL BE AT ANIMELO. I AM SPEECHLESS. Okay, Sunred is streamed on Nico. Other works include My Pace Daioh from the first season of Genshiken.

Another few days, another pair of artistes added to the Animelo line-up. Today’s additions are May’n and forever seven Yukari Tamura. Not much duet chances for May’n from the line-up on her day. Another year, another Nana x Yukarin duet. Can we have Innocent Starter and Make a Little Wish this year, Makkun? May’n’s shoulders look sooooo tiny in the picture. Buchou going on a diet, perhaps?

With another Animelo comes another theme song. Just been announced for release on June the 24th. No indication of the title is yet. Makkun is still on song writing duties with Minami-chan joining her, taking over from Kage-nii. Let’s see how this will turn out

As with last year, Masumi Okui, the organizer of Animelo, is flying solo on a seperate day as JAM Project. Interesting choice of duet combinations from the current lineup. The next addition is Kanoko Itou. Can’t say I really know here all that well and the Chaos Head OP didn’t sit too well with me. Pity she cannot duet with Minami on a selection of various School Days songs. Hur. Needs knifes and chainsaws for that sequence.

My Animelo BDs and May’n DVDs arrived this afternoon, courtesy of Amazon Japan and FedEx. Happened while I was in class. The reviews won’t be coming that soon. The end of a school term is coming and with them, presentations and exams. I’ll see what I can sneak in between. Until then, some pictures of the stuff included after the jump.
