Bardiche Assault Riot Blade II

This is the evolved model of “Bardiche Assault”, Captain Fate T. Harlaown’s favourite device.

To allow the dual-bladed “Riot Blade” to be easily linked up as a single component when situation demands, starting from the body material, appearance and the internal unit, there have been a number of changes to the specification and performance. Nonetheless, there has been no alteration to the base, i.e., the main body of Bardiche. Bardiche therefore retains control of the whole device. As decided by Captain Harlaown and Bardiche, the device will be a test model incorporating the operation theories and material technology for the fifth generation device.

To guarantee unrestrained mobility during situations of magic cancellation, a dedicated system of magic conversion different from the one in the CW models is incorporated. The system allows the storage of the user’s magical energy in the device body, as well as the conversion of such for device activity.

Bardiche Assault Riot Zamber II

This is the evolved model of “Riot Zamber” that is originally in the form of a giant sabre. Although detailed specifications have yet to be revealed, according to presently available data it is expected to have the capability of aerial and antisurface control: an overengineered design as a personal combat equipment.

In contrast with the approach of total conversion of magic power into physical energy adopted by the CW line of AEC equipment, the fifth generation devices are designed with the concept of utilization of magical energy to create magic effects even in situations of magic cancellation. They also exhibit a higher degree of magical performance in situations of no magic interference.

Therefore, in situations of magic cancellation, the fifth generation devices can create nonfatal attacks such as shocks and stuns without relying on direct output of magical energy. Under perfect conditions, even stronger effects can be achieved.

Currently these devices are extremely difficult to handle, however. Except with users capable of highly sophisticated magic control, or in possession of “inborn magic conversion potential” such as electricity and fire, the devices show the problems of unstable operational output, high degree of energy loss, as well as insufficiency for prolonged usage.

Nevertheless, under the current background where magic cancellation” is becoming a mainstream approach for illegal weapons, it can be said that these devices is a litmus test for examining the viability of magic as a peace-keeping force.

So I have recently fallen into the addictive trading card game that is Weiβ Schwarz, otherwise known as WS. I can’t help it, it is just about the only game that allows me to use an entire deck full of Fate Testarossa cards, and kick ass with her. It’s a fun game, and I’ve fought the temptation for ages only to be done in by the recent release of  the Nanoha Movie 1st expansion pack. Loli Feito is just too moe to resist.

Anyways, if you are in Singapore and you want to try out or learn the game, feel free to drop by TCG, a shop that specializes in games such as WS, Chaos and Victory Spark. That’s where our group of friends play regularly, and the address is 91 Bencoolen Street Sunshine Plaza #01-77. I think between my regular anime purchases, WS and the upcoming Warhammer 40K release of the Blood Angels codex in April, I won’t have any money left for anything but the most basic of necessities. T_T

I really want to just go for the whole set and be done with it, but nah, resources are tight this month. Since that’s the case, I will likely go for the Fate Testarossa T-shirt or mug. And at the same time I will pretend I never read the weird engrish sentences on both the Nanoha and Fate T-shirts.

I prayed, I went down on my knees to beg Fate, to give us a plushie of herself, something that we can hug and cuddle when we go to sleep. Finally, my prayers have been answered!  

See? Faith can move mountains, but apparently a hardcore fanaticism for Fate-chan can do more than that. So all of us should love Fate and Nanoha more, by buying more of their merchandise! Then there will be more supply of Fate and Nanoha items and we can all be happy! Ah, the beauty of capitalism…

Here are more details from AmiAmi. The plushie will be arriving on this April, and will retail for 3150 yen. Time to save up!

And yes, I should be getting two of this. One to put on my bed along with Yui and Mugi, and one more for the collection.

Yeah, big size figure is big.

The whole of NK-DS, and indeed, most of our friends, will be embroiled in a giant battlezone in a few days time. I had bought this 1/4 scale figure of my wife in her bikini last week, but I held back from displaying her until today. It seemed more appropriate that we would seek the blessings of Fate at this crucial hour.

Soldier on and brace yourselves, my friends. The storm begins, but the finishing line is in sight.

I’m not sure how many of our readers are considered eligible to celebrate Children’s Day, but hey, we were all children once. Not to mention you are most likely going to be young at heart if you are an anime fan!

Not really related to Nanoha, but I am still getting that Rina figure.

Now that news about Wonderfest 2009 has more or less settled down, its time for the inevitable post on my picks of the Nanoha merchandise displayed during the event. The Alter Shin Sonic Form Fate and Full Power Nanoha are foregone conclusions, so I will not be talking about those in this post.

On a separate note, that figure of Ogata Rina from White Album is probably the closest thing to a Nana Mizuki figure that we will ever get. I wonder which company made it, because they sure did a heck of a job.
