Noto~~!! <3

Another year, another time to wish Noto happy birthday again. The past year has been pretty Notoble, with her voicing a few roles she has voiced before in sequels, namely Notozaka Haruka in Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Purezza and Toudou Shimako in Marimite 4. But her new roles were also awesome, with the most determined and cool Tomoe from Queen’s Blade and as an ojou-sama type as Toudou Lilicia in Seitokai no Ichizon. But the role that dominated my memory of the past year is most definitely Kuronuma Sawako from Notodoke; what can I say, it’s simply 2D Noto! Ever so sweet, so cute, so naive (and hence even more cute), so earnest and so lovable; just like Noto! This took the spot of most iconic Noto role ever for sure at least, and now I simply cannot imagine anybody else voicing for that role.

And on Noto’s birthday it seems that I was blessed; opened a signed Starlight Breaker in one of the Nanoha First boxes that I bought today, making this happy day just simply fantastic. Now for another year of joy, another year of happiness and another year of Noto! <3

Today is truly a special day. Not only is it my favourite seiyuu’s birthday, the second season of my favourite character’s anime (voiced by Noto Mamiko of course)  has also been given the green light! So firstly, お誕生日おめでとう能登麻美子さん！ I look forward to hearing more of her voice, in the various animes that I am watching and in the animes I will be watching, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu’s second season included, naturally. Now excuse me while I pound the wall to dust with my head from sheer joy, all while wishing I had the guts to take out the Haruka Dakimakura and do (un)speakable things to it.

Fans of famed seiyuu Noto Mamiko have it good this month.

Not only did Megami offer a whopping 4 different posters of Noto characters (5 if you count the Clannad group poster), Seiyuu Animedia has elected to use her as this month’s cover girl too. That is enough Noto to sate the most ardent of Noto fans, would you not agree?

Now, much as I respect Noto for her hypnotically soothing voice and admire her for her sweet countenance, I feel obliged to protest against Seiyuu Animedia for what I feel is a blatant waste of resources and good pictures. Imagine if they had used one of these Tanaka Rie pictures as the cover. Readership and sales for the month would shoot up almost instantly, with new readers beguiled by the charms of a full-powered Tanaka Rie in sexy bunnygirl costume.

Of course, said new readers hoping to find yet more pictures of bunnygirls within the magazine itself would be sorely disappointed, but that’s beside the point.

Enough idle talk. Let’s get on with the business at hand.
